Lloyd Jones Project Environmental Scientist
Lloyd is a Project Environmental Scientist with consulting expertise focused on site assessments, investigation, and remediation projects for various clients, and plays a key role in the Connecticut office for emergency response services. Lloyd is experienced with the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection Remediation Standard Regulations and the Connecticut Property Transfer Act.
He has assisted and managed hundreds environmental site assessments for residential, commercial, and industrial properties in Connecticut and New York for various banks, municipalities, developers, property managers, and potential buyers, as well as the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA). Oversaw subsurface investigations at various residential, commercial, and industrial properties throughout Connecticut and New York. Included development of conceptual site models to define areas of concern, potential release mechanisms, and migration pathways.
Performed remediation oversight including the preparation of remedial action plans, excavation of impacted soil (petroleum, PCBs, metals, and chlorinated compounds), removal of underground storage tanks (USTs) and other underground structures, pumping and treating of impacted groundwater, in-situ remediation, and the operation and monitoring of various soil and groundwater remediation systems. Also included negotiation with regulatory agencies, preparation of remedial options and cost estimates, coordinating with disposal facilities and remedial subcontractors, and confirmatory sampling and analysis, as appropriate.
