Kevin Trainer, P.G., L.S.P. Senior Associate / Member, Board of Directors
Kevin Trainer serves on GeoInsight’s Board of directors providing strategic direction across the company. Kevin’s leadership is felt throughout the company, as a mentor and technical leader in our Massachusetts and Maine offices.
As a Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional (LSP) and Professional Geologist, he specializes in investigating and remediating contaminated properties in New England. His work experience includes conducting detailed hydrologic investigations in both surficial and fractured bedrock aquifers and developing remedial strategies for small-scale to complex releases. Kevin has assisted legal counsel on environmental projects and has provided litigation support, including expert witness testimony and affidavits, in support of these projects. He has considerable experience in the redevelopment of contaminated properties, particularly in urban areas. As a practicing LSP in Massachusetts, Kevin has worked on a wide range of challenging projects, including marine oil spills, solvent releases at industrial properties, and vapor intrusion at residences and commercial buildings. At technical conferences, Kevin has presented on a wide range of information, including Brownfields Tax Credits, emerging contaminants, investigating dry cleaning facilities, and remediating ethanol-blended gasoline spills. Kevin has also provided technical assistance to citizen groups and municipalities and critically-reviewed proposed investigation and remediation plans.
