John J. Christian Project Environmental Scientist
John Christian is experienced in the field of water supply including water supply planning, diversion permitting for new and existing water supplies, Level “A” Mapping, groundwater quality compliance, potable water supply distribution/treatment operation, groundwater under direct influence of surface water studies, hydraulic modeling, and construction oversight of potable water infrastructure improvements, expansions, and new sources. John has worked on over a dozen diversion permitting and Level “A” mapping projects. His experience includes work in geographic information system (GIS) and global positioning system (GPS) related to the improved operation and maintenance of water supplies.
John’s regulatory environmental compliance experience includes: Tier II and Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) reporting in accordance with EPCRA requirements, storm water discharge monitoring and reporting pursuant to the State of Connecticut Stormwater General Permits, permit preparation, discharge sampling, and reporting pursuant to the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), Connecticut State Pollution Discharge Elimination System (SPDES), and Texas State Pollution Discharge Elimination System (TPDES), Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) preparation, training, sampling, and reporting, Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) planning and training, and Source Registration reporting.
John also has performed environmental Phase I and II site assessments, sub-surface investigations, soil/groundwater monitoring, subsurface treatment system operation and maintenance, drinking water receptor surveys, and industrial wastewater treatment system evaluations.
