Hydrogeologist Dave Maclean Teaches Seminar on Asset Management and Wells

On Tuesday, September 9, 2014, GeoInsight, Inc. Senior Hydrogeologist, Dave Maclean, P.G., L.E.P., L.S.P., presented at the Granite State Rural Water Association's annual Operator Field Day at Mount Sunapee, in Newbury, NH.  

 

Dave's presentation aimed to help water operators to conduct inventories of source water assets (pumps, wells, and aquifers) in support of asset management plan completion activities.  Discussion topics included: 

  • evaluating the life expectancy of these assets;
  • tips for maintaining and extending asset life;
  • prioritizing asset maintenance; and 
  • developing contingency plans to prepare for potential asset failure.
