Assessing the Risk

When evaluating the risk posed to both the environment and people associated with a potentially contaminated site, we address three critical questions:

  1. How is the property planned to be used?
  2. How accessible is the contamination to the environment and people?
  3. What are the possible adverse effects on humans and the environment?

After the risk has been evaluated, the analysis is used to identify suitable cleanup levels (or a combination of levels) necessary to make the property safe for people and the environment.

Baseline Risk Characterization

We evaluate the property and what risk will exist over time if nothing is done to the site.

Imminent Hazard Evaluations

We evaluate the site to determine whether immediate action is necessary.

Identification of Cleanup Goals

We evaluate the level of remediation necessary for your planned use of the property, and help set remediation goals.
