GeoInsight is seeking a multi-talented senior Civil Engineer with at least 12 years of regional experience with site design, storm water treatment and compliance, direct client interaction, senior project management, public presentations, and business leadership. Mandatory requirements include the ability to immediately develop new business and expand our existing relationships, and significant experience with site investigation and interpretation, solid technical writing and communication skills, a high degree of familiarity with a variety of regulations, and multiple P.E. registrations.

Environmental Health and Safety Compliance Specialist / Project Manager

Candidate should have 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting, including project management experience.  We require a candidate that has a strong work ethic, enjoys taking on responsibility and client service, works independently as well as part of a team, and is motivated to perform high quality work.

 

Experience Requirements Include:

  • Environmental compliance audits
  • Tier II and Form R reporting under EPCRA
  • Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasure (SPCC) planning
  • Storm water planning and permitting
  • Air permitting and emissions source registration

Position Description

Entry-level Geologist or Engineer with 0 to 2 years experience and a strong work ethic.  Candidate should have relevant coursework or work-study experience, and be available to perform field investigation observation, project work, surveying, sample collection, data evaluation and tabulation, calculations, compliance review and assistance, and basic report writing/preparation.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs basic field-orientated tasks including data collection and measurements;
  • Prepares field notes and related documentation as assigned following company standards;
  • Maintains excel databases associated with regulatory compliance demonstration;
  • Assists with preparation of regulatory submittals such as permit applications and plans;
  • Performs ground water sampling, and oversees well installations and soil borings;
  • Conducts soil, sediment and surface water sampling;
  • Retrieves necessary data using internet, records, Data Map® or other means;
  • Enters collected data into report format using applicable software application and company formatting guidelines;
  • Applies basic knowledge of federal, state and local regulatory requirements and regulatory programs; and
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training a plus.

 

Position Requirements

  • 4 year (accredited) college degree in Geology, Engineering (or related discipline)

GeoInsight, Inc. has an opening for the following opportunity in its Manchester, NH office.  We offer an excellent compensation package and work environment.  The position is for a Junior-level Environmental/Civil Engineer with 2 to 4 years experience, and requires a strong work ethic and the ability to perform independently.  Candidate should have relevant coursework (or work-study experience), strong observation skills and attention to detail, and be available to successfully execute field investigation, basic surveying, sample collection, data evaluation and tabulation, design calculations, and basic report writing/preparation.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience with New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services regulations, International Building Code Requirements, and/or Federal regulations.  The candidate must be able to handle multiple project tasks and deliverables simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as diverse PC skills, are a necessity.  Specific experience with remedial design and civil design would be a positive attribute.   


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs basic to moderately complex field-orientated tasks;
  • Prepares field notes and related documentation to properly support engineering design;
  • Contributes toward preparation of design and regulatory compliance submittals such as text, tables, and figures for permit applications and plans;
  • Performs ground water sampling/gauging, and oversees well installations, soil borings, test pit excavations, and other investigation activities;
  • Conducts soil, sediment and surface water sampling;
  • Performs basic oversight of field construction activities;
  • Understands basic soil and ground water engineering principles; 
  • Comfortable with basic engineering software applications and input parameter selection;
  • Applies basic knowledge of federal, state and local regulatory requirements within more than one technical area; and
  • Completed 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training a significant plus.

GeoInsight, Inc. has an opening for a Part-time Administrative Assistant in its Middletown, CT office.

 

This is a part-time position approximately 16-20 hours per week.  The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, be self-motivated, and have administrative support experience.  Candidate must be professional, have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task.  

 

Responsibilities include:

  • answering phone calls;
  • report preparation;
  • copying and word processing;
  • prepare mailings;
  • purchase orders;
  • placing phone and internet orders;
  • correspondence with GeoInsight’s other offices;
  • office supply orders;
  • maintenance of office equipment; and
  • miscellaneous administrative projects. 

 

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.  Proficiency in Microsoft Business Contact Manager (BCM), Access, Visio, Outlook, Publisher, and Constant Contact are an advantage.  Must be able to run occasional errands if required.

GeoInsight, Inc. has an opening for an Entry to Mid-level Environmental Scientist, Geologist, or Engineer in its Middletown, CT office. A successful candidate will have 1 to 6 years experience and a strong work ethic.  Candidate should have relevant coursework or work-study experience, and be available to perform field investigation observation, project work, surveying, sample collection, data evaluation and tabulation, calculations, compliance review and assistance, and report writing/preparation.

Candidates for consideration should have 1-6 years of environmental consulting experience and at minimum a B.S. degree within an environmental discipline. Affiliations and/or Certifications with professional associations and networking capabilities are also strongly desired.
